I’m a Wanders-er.

December 2nd, 2009 by Ruth

I think it’s my love for design or perhaps Target‘s ability to bring luxury to the masses, but currently, I’m obsessed with Marcel Wanders. I thought I had my fill of the designer after purchasing a few candlestick holders and serving dishes when his line became available at the chain store.

However, as recently mentioned on New York Time’s The Moment Blog, Wanders is now showing at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Personally arranged from his Dutch studio, Wanders choreographed his first American exhibition “Marcel Wanders: Daydreams”.

Pictured above, a crocheted chair hangs from a big white balloon, which doubles as a projection screen showing images of the sky. Defying gravity and presented in an artistic manner, the exhibition run until June 13, 2010.
