Ultralight Packers in Stem Green, llbean.com, $29

With the traveling season in full swing, I’ve uncovered the niftiest packing accessory known to man – the Ultralight Packer from LLBean! Available in four colors; Black, Blue, Red and Stem Green, these graduated packers keep clothing neatly folded in your suitcase, carry-on or duffle bag.

Perfect for the organized traveler, I plan to gift these to a few snowbirds, bi-coastal friends, and vacationers this holiday season.

America the great.

According to last Thursday’s New York Times Style Section, there’s a new reliance on old-school American brands such as Filson, Orvis and L.L. Bean. Apparently, city and country men and women alike are finding the chicskate within themselves and resorting to affordable and durable classics. Check out our favorite picks below.

Well, well, wellies.

I’ve been dying for a pair of Hunter rainboots since before I can remember. And as much as I love the Daily Diamond from last month, I can’t, however, justify spending $115 on rainboots. Being the savvy shopper that I am, I did a little hunting for a comparable pair and uncovered a fabulous alternative from L.L. Bean.

The classic, English-designed L.L. Bean Wellie protects feet from mud and the rain while keeping them toasty warm. Made of durable rubber, this boot moves with the body and will not crack or stiffen with the weather, making it a long-term closet staple. The deep tread makes for great traction while the fabric lining makes it easy to slip on and off.

At $59, the L.L. Bean Wellie is a stylish steal.
