Emily Miranda Tangled Cuff, $400.

The above Tangled Cuff from Emily Miranda is simply put, a work of art. Its twists and turns create a one-of-a-kind, mesmerizing maze for the eye. I plan to scoop this baby up right before summer is in full swing, but at $400, this is a chicskate’s ultimate Daily Diamond.

Twisted.

Little cream. Lots of hope.

Little cream. Lots of hope.

I’ve got a new favorite nighttime moisturizer, and the only thing stopping me from shouting my love from the rooftops are the freezing temperatures hitting the east coast. It’s from Olay and costs about $20. Their Definity Night Restorative Sleep Cream leaves me looking refreshed and glow-y when I wake up, something that’s not terribly easy to do, considering I wake up at the crack of dawn in the dead of winter.

Nothing but blue skies.

When was the last time you slowed down and took a stroll with a loved one? There’s something so charming and sweet about taking a walk, especially when it can offer lovely views all around. Why not grab a date and go cross a bridge? With loads of walkable options in cities throughout the world, all you need is a pair of shoes! The snap above is from my trek across the Brooklyn Bridge two weeks ago. What a view, huh?

Blue water grill style.

January 26th, 2010 by Ruth

The best piece of Miso and Soy Chilean Sea Bass I ever had was at the Blue Water Grill, here in NYC. The fish tastes like heaven and seems to just melt in your mouth. However, I can not frequent the restaurant as often as I’d like to so I’ve tried to mimic my favorite dish with this recipe, found at AllRecipes.com.

I have to say, after following the recipe to a T, I was able to bring Blue Water Grill style into the comfort of my own home. With my own broiler, I recreated the caramelized crunch and buttery texture I’ve come to love.

Hydrangea Thank You, $14, NightOwlPaperGoods.com

There are two simple words that can move mountains in this world and I’m not talking about, “I’m sorry” – I’m referring to “Thank you”, those magical words that show appreciation. one of the most important things in this world. While there are plenty of ‘Thank You’ cards out there, we find the sweet whimsy of Night Owl Paper Goods to be compatible with many tastes.

What’s even sweeter are their pack of six wood cards! Carrying a clever note on a small piece of wooden art, these are made of eco-friendly sustainably harvested yellow birch. Here’s our favorite below.

The power bootie.

As a kid, I had a few pairs of moccasins that I absolutely adored, but refused to wear them after kids on the playground made fun of me. With restored confidence and renewed sense of style, I’m bringing them back for spring. These ones from Manimal are just what I’ve been looking for – with minimal embellishments and a sweet, basic cord tie – and are made from recycled materials, making them earth-friendly. Just as moccasins should be.

"I hate drying up" dish towel, $18.00

Growing up in northern Scotland, my mom’s childhood home was always stocked with tea towels to dry dishes. She still loves them and now keeps my childhood home stocked with plenty. They’re usually tucked out of sight, but these cute options from Anthropologie are worthy of display, don’t you think?

I’m not the only one with an ikat obsession…

I’ve waxed lyrical about my love for all things ikat before, and it turns out I’m not alone. Check out this piece from Lucky’s Editor-At-Large, Elise Loehnen:
