One of the best gifts I receive each year (and we’re talking every year for as long as I can remember) is pajamas. Is there a set rule on how many pajamas one person should own? Hopefully not because I’m about to stock up my friends and family with an adorable set. Oh, and they’re less than $10. Find out where to get them after the jump! (more…)

Chic Frills Gift Guide: Super Jammies.
December 10th, 2009 by CatherineDaily Diamond: Williams-Sonoma Essential Oil Boxed Candle
December 10th, 2009 by CatherineWhat’s better during the holiday season than the scents that fragrance the air? Crackling fires, bubbling cider, crisp evergreen trees – they all make me stop and take a minute to breathe it all in. Literally.
So it’s with this love in mind that I went ahead and bought a few candles from Williams-Sonoma’s limited edition holiday line. Their Spiced Chestnut candle smells exactly like the holidays should – yummy and comforting, with a touch of cinnamon.
Available at Williams-Sonoma stores nationwide and online for $24.50.
My philosophy.
December 10th, 2009 by CatherineThere comes a certain age in every woman’s life when she needs to start wearing a little more makeup than just blush and mascara. That time, my dear Chic Thrills friends, has arrived for me. Sigh. But I’m not about to break out foundation yet, and neither should anyone with decent skin in their 20s or even 30s for that matter. Why cake on coverage when you can get away with letting your face breathe a little bit while still reaping the benefits of non-makeup makeup? I think women look far better without heavy foundation and powder than when they slap it on. So what’s a girl to do when faced with this decision? Check out my philosophy after the jump! (more…)
Gift Guide: SomethingForEveryone.com.
December 10th, 2009 by CatherineWith the holidays rapidly approaching, I’ve crossed off all but a few key people on my gift list. They also happen to be the people I dread shopping for the most, not because of ill feelings toward said group of people, but because they are so difficult to shop for. So difficult, in fact, that in years past, I’ve often woken up in the middle of the night as Christmas approached in a panic, wondering how I’m going to come up with a gift.
That was last year. This year I haven’t lost a wink of sleep because I’m armed with iCARD Gift Cards from Gifts.com. Redeemable at hundreds of national and regional retailers like Barnes & Noble, Starbucks, iTunes, J.Crew, Nike, and Bloomingdale’s, the cards make shopping for the impossible recipient in your life much easier. Simply choose a value for your card, and your lucky gift getter chooses how to spend the money. You can divvy up the total amongst different stores and restaurants, or choose to use the whole card on one place instead. It’s really that simple.
And if you’re concerned with what you’ll now do with all this extra time on your hands now that you don’t have to frantically search for gifts, don’t worry. It’s the holidays! You’re bound to get wrapped up with other, more enjoyable activities.
