I may be old enough to know better about Santa, but I still can’t help it if I wished his elves would hook a girl up. This cuff from Erickson Beamon is beyond Zoe-style-bananas. Made from Japanese glass pearls, Swarovski crystals, and 24k gold and sterling silver plating, I’ve fallen head-over-heels for this dramatic, updated take on a traditional bracelet. Unfortunately for me, I don’t think this is within anyone’s holiday budget, Santa included.

November 25th, 2009 by CatherineWithin my own circle of friends, a whole bunch just moved homes. Some moved in with their boyfriends, others switched up apartments for a breath of fresh air. Whatever their cause for moving, I’d like to celebrate their new places with a sweet, retro-inspired gift from Pier 1 Imports. Charmingly retro, this apron’s bold pattern makes it modern enough to avoid the whole 50s housewife getup. I just think an apron screams domestic goddess without ever having to prove you can whip up a 7 course meal a la Top Chef.
Such a LUSH.
November 25th, 2009 by CatherineMy mom, ever the gracious hostess, tends to go slightly overboard when making her guests feel comfortable in our house. This Thanksgiving, when we host a few friends for the weekend, is no exception. The house is already spotless. And the menu has been planned for weeks. Sleeping arrangements have been handled, extra towels and blankets stocked up. As for our special “GUESTS ONLY” bathroom supplies? They have a better selection of soaps and bath treats that I do on a regular day!
Good thing she hasn’t come across this hand and body cream from LUSH. I’ve stashed it aside for my own selfish non-guest needs. Made with all-natural ingredients (like every product under the LUSH umbrella), it’s a rich cream that smoothes and soothes my Sahara-esque skin. And with every pot purchased, you’re donating to causes in need, like The International Fund for Animal Welfare. With the spirit of Thanksgiving (and charity) in mind, maybe I’ll have to share this around with our guests. Maybe.
