Birthday suit.

November 10th, 2009 by Catherine

I’ve got a birthday coming up in the next couple weeks and have a party to celebrate at the end of the month. No matter how close I get to turning 30, I refuse to believe a birthday is just any other day. What other chance do you get to eat cake with abandon?

So with that in mind, I’ve been stashing away some cash over the past few weeks to save up for a new frock to wear. So what’s a girl to wear for a night in Atlantic City, NJ? I’ve got to stay true to my Chic Thrills way of life, so want something that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, will transcend trends, and will also work overtime as a possible daytime/work option. Help me choose!

I’d wear this with thick black tights and my favorite boyfriend blazer to work, and dress it up with chunky jewelry and heels for going out.

Then there’s full-on hotness with this dress by Haute Hippie. Leaving little to the imagination, it still manages to look classy (something super important even in Atlantic City!). Worn with a bright scarf and an oversized cardigan, it would pass office standards by a mile.

Okay, one last option. What do you think of this dress?
