At a recent backyard barbeque, I had the unfortunate task of pleasing an array of different tastes – Tricia likes beer but Kerry only drinks wine, etc. – which made it difficult not to spend a ton of money on booze. Luckily, my local wine shop had a sturdy supply of Barefoot Wines, including their newly-introduced Barefoot Bubbly, a collection of sparkling wines. I picked up a bubbly Brut Cuvee, a White Zin, a Merlot, and a Riesling, plus some beer for under $40.
The best part? The wine is actually good! No nasty hangovers or cheap taste. Even better, the Barefoot Wines company is affiliated with a fantastic beach rescue and cleapnup project. According to their website, Barefoot Wine and Surfrider Foundation encourage local residents to volunteer at cleanup and restoration events across the country to help make beaches “barefoot-friendly.”
