Jillian Michaels is in my living room

For years I considered myself as the type of girl who needed a gym to stay fit and get a “rockin bod.” Maybe it’s the control freak in me, but I loved being able to calculate the miles I was running on the treadmill and monitor how many stairs I was climbing on the ThighMaster. But quite frankly I started getting bored – really bored and nothing seemed challenging or fun anymore. That’s until I discovered ExcerciseTV.

ExerciseTV is a free, video-on-demand network dedicated to the hottest workouts, fitness trends and sports training from top instructors and trainers. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on demand with digital cable, it offers more one-on-one training than my gym can ever provide, plus I get the benefit of “working” with trainers I’d probably never get the chance to work with otherwise.

Better still, the channel’s website,  www.exercisetv.tv, is full of FREE and fun workouts from top trainers including Jillian Michaels, Jackie Warner, and Stephanie Vitorino.

Daily Diamond: Alexis Bittar Silver Dust Hinge Bangle

September 14th, 2009 by Catherine

LC93B003200I’m a sucker for a good bangle. Throw a couple chunky ones on your wrists and you instantly punch up whatever the outfit. I’ve amassed quite a stash over the years but still can’t resist the next best one I see. This one from Alexis Bittar made my heart skip a couple extra beats when I first tried it on and I’ve decided it’s going to the top of my bracelet pile. Constructed out of Bittar’s signature lucite, it looks every so slightly futuristic, but super chic nonetheless. Love the “silver dust”, don’t you? Available in three colors here for $375.

I swooned for Sui at Target.

September 14th, 2009 by Catherine

I haven’t been this excited about a collaboration since Madonna first collaborated with H&M in 2007! Yesterday marked the launch of Anna Sui’s line for Target and I fully admit to rushing out to get my hands on her sophisticated, affordable dresses and skirts. Available through October 17th, the collections features Gossip Girl-inspired pieces, all for under $150. I made a beeline for this darling tweed dress with a feather-esque neckline, with dreams of wearing it with thick, black tights to upcoming fall events. With the prices so great and the clothes so chic, I couldn’t help but play favorites to the looks below. Check out Anna Sui’s full collection at Target stores nationwide and Target’s website.

Yes! Yes! The no!no! is on sale!

September 14th, 2009 by Catherine

P194264_heroI’ve been intrigued by the promises of the no!no! since it was first launched about a year ago. Suitable for all hair and skin types, the credit card-sized device works to painlessly reduce the density of hair with regular use. Industry insiders have raved about their personal results, but I’ve been hesitant to drop $250 for one of my own no!no!’s. Sure, it beats the cost of laser hair removal, but it’s still a lotta dough for one piece of technology. Well, you might imagine my delight when I learned that the product is on sale for a cool $99 at Sephora. With free shipping thrown in for good measure, I’ve already placed my order to get started now in time for a less hairy summer!
